hoop terms of use
by using hoop, you agree to these terms and apple’s standard eula (or any custom eula we provide in app store connect).
eligibility
you must be 16+ to use hoop. you’re responsible for your account and security.
no objectionable content / abuse
no illegal content or conduct, harassment, threats, hate, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual content, self-harm promotion, doxxing, privacy invasion, impersonation, scams, spam, or infringement of others’ rights. you must not abuse, stalk, or threaten anyone.
your content
you are responsible for what you upload and share.
you promise you have all rights needed for your content.
rights you grant us
when you upload content, you grant hoop a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable right to host, store, copy, modify, adapt, publish, create derivatives from, distribute, display, perform, and use the content for any purpose, including operating, improving, moderating, and promoting hoop, including marketing and advertising on and off the app.
to the extent allowed by law, you also assign to hoop all rights you have in that content. if assignment isn’t allowed, the license above applies. you consent to acts that might otherwise infringe your moral rights, to the extent permitted by law.
moderation
we may filter, restrict, or remove content and accounts. users can report content/accounts and block users. we aim to act on reports promptly. contact: support@myhoop.app.
termination
you can delete your account in the app. we can suspend or end access if you breach these terms or create risk or harm. content rights granted to us continue for content already used or retained in backups/legal records.
purchases
if offered, purchases/subscriptions are billed by apple. cancellations and refunds are handled under apple’s processes and applicable law.
availability
the app is provided as-is and as-available. we may change or discontinue any part of hoop.
liability
to the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for user content or user conduct. nothing in these terms limits rights that can’t be excluded under applicable law.
law
queensland, australia governs these terms, except where mandatory local law says otherwise.hoop privacy policy

what we collect
email address (from sign in with apple) to create and manage your account.
videos you upload.
basic technical data needed to run hoop (ip address, server logs, app version, device/os, crash/performance data).
how we collect and hold it
we collect email from apple and videos from you when you upload.
we store and stream videos using supabase (hosted infrastructure).
permissions
camera and microphone (to record video).
why we use it
to provide sign-in, upload, storage, streaming, and playback.
to keep hoop secure, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
to comply with law.
sharing
videos you upload are shown to other users in hoop.
we don’t sell your data.
we share data only with service providers that host and run hoop (including supabase and its sub-processors) and with authorities if legally required.
overseas
our primary storage region is australia (sydney). supabase may process data in other countries where it or its sub-processors operate (including the united states and singapore).
retention
we keep data as needed to provide hoop and for legal/security reasons. you can delete your account in the app.
your rights
you can request access or correction of your personal information by emailing support@myhoop.app.
privacy complaints
email support@myhoop.app. if you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the oaic.
